What a great time to be a Hobbs Eagle! 2008 promises to be a very exciting season! We have about 200 athletes in the program 9th thru 12th grades. We are looking to build on our success of the three consecutive playoff appearances. We had our first home game playoff appearance last season for the first time in a quarter of a century.
Offensively we had a big season last year putting up great numbers in the passing game. The passing game has continued to improve since our change to the spread offense. We are excited about the offensive production and look forward to another strong showing from the offense.
Defensively we had the best season in almost a decade. We will continue to play an aggressive, stunting style. We will pursue to the football as well as anyone in the state. Our team in 2008 will be built around the foundation of playing great defense.
Special teams were also good to us last season. We feel that we will win games on special teams. We will make things happen and utilize all of our players to win the kicking game! We will take calculated risks and play to win on special teams.
We have a great and exciting 2008 ahead of us and we invite the community to support the HOBBS EAGLES FOOTBALL TEAM. Come on out to Watson Stadium and support the Eagles!
